Yvonne M. Fanning

Yvonne M. Fanning, 92, of Wakefield, passed on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. She was the wife of the late Howard Fanning. Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Rose (Bizon) Morin. Yvonne was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She always enjoyed singing in their choir. She worked for the Quonset Naval Base during WWII, at the Dunes Club in Narragansett, she delivered the Narragansett and Chariho Times to businesses in South County, worked for URI for Gordon Research, and was a census worker for the Government till retirement. She is survived by her daughter Deanna Shea and her husband Dan, her sons Bruce Fanning, and Barry Fanning and his wife Gloria; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons Wayne and Dana Fanning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2-4pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield.
