William L. Stedman

William L. Stedman, Sr. 87 of Richmond, Rhode Island, passed away Friday, June 26th 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne E. (Langdon) Stedman. Born in Wilson, New York. William was the son of the late Harold and Ruth (Mudge) Stedman. He served honorably in The United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He is survived by five children, William L. Stedman, Jr. and his wife Amy, Jeffrey Stedman, and Lori Calcagni and her husband Albert, all of Charlestown, Rhode Island, Timothy Stedman and his wife Diann of Gainesville, Virginia, and Matthew Stedman and his wife Jeanne of Montauk, New York; nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; and a sister Lois Barnum of Wilson, New York. Visitation will be held at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Wednesday, 10- 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
