William J. Parenteau

William J. Parenteau, 76, of West Kingston, died Monday. He was the beloved husband of Joyce M. Power, they were married 31 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Stuart N. and Kathleen H. (Powers) Parenteau. Mr. Parenteau was previously employed at Browne & Sharpe. He was a veteran serving with the Air Force, during the Berlin Wall uprising. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, and he was a proud member of the NRA and was an avid marksman. Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Jon J. Parenteau of Smithfield and Elizabeth Parenteau of Rochester, VT; two step children, Robert M. Power, III of Ashaway and Bradley M. Power of Providence; and five grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 PM Saturday February 18th at Arturo Joes Restaurant, Narragansett.
