William R. Owens

William R. Owens, 64, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 16, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Claudia (Bapties) Owens. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Geraldine (Maurer) Owens. Bill was the owner of South County Concrete for many years. He was a graduate of South Kingstown High School class of 1968 and attended The University of Rhode Island. He was the father of Gregory and Patricia Owens; brother of Robert A. Owens, John M. Owens, Thomas A. Owens, Susan M. Owens and Andrew F. Owens; grandfather of Natalya and Gabriel. Funeral Service and burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
