William C. Oliver

William C. Oliver Sr., 85, of Narragansett, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at home. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Cook) Oliver. Mr. Oliver was the owner of Wilco Associates for many years before retiring. He was a W.W. II US Army Veteran and served in Korea. Mr. Oliver was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charlestown at Quonochontaug. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Order of the Scottish Rite. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed fishing and spending time at the ocean. He leaves his sons, Steven F. Oliver and his husband Brian Myers of Seattle, WA and William C. Oliver Jr. and his wife Leslie of Charlestown; grandchildren, Abba Oliver, Gary McGowan, Shannon Oliver, Andrew Solorsano, Andrew Oliver, Gaelen Oliver, Jake Oliver-Noyes, and Tyson Oliver-Noyes. He also leaves 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Linda A. (Oliver) Leggett and Gary W. Oliver, and brother of the late Ethel Cooper. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on May 31, at one oclock in the afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Charlestown at Quonochontaug, 5073 Old Post Road, Charlestown.
