William R. Deleon

William R. DeLeon, 71, of Buzzards Bay, Mass. passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at Tobey Hospital. Born on June 9, 1942 in Hartford, CT. He was the son of the late Conrad and Marion (Walden) DeLeon. Mr. DeLeon was a sales rep. for Lorillard Tobacco Co. for many years until he retired. He was an avid Boston sports fan and liked watching NASCAR . He also enjoyed going to Foxwoods Casino. He was the husband of the late Sandra (Whitehead) DeLeon; former husband of Jeanette Lazlo. His companion of the last ten years, Judy Waniewski loving cared for him ; father of Lynne Maldonado and her husband John of Colchester, CT. and Troy DeLeon and his wife Gloria of East Hampton, CT; brother of Conrad DeLeon Jr. of Bloomfield, CT.; uncle of Scott and Darren Deleon of Bloomfield, CT.; and grandfather of Troy II DeLeon, Taylor DeLeon, Kayla Maldonado, and Evan Maldonado. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 23, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in River Bend Cemetery, Westerly, RI.
