William C. Bill Smith

William “Bill” C. Smith, 74, of Wakefield, passed August 24, 2017. He was the loving husband of 43 years to Lucille (Vellone) Smith. Born in North Kingstown, son of the late Charles and Marion (Mott) Smith. Bill lived his life near the water and enjoyed boating and quahoging for many years. He loved his family dearly and was a staple at every family event where he could be found helping the chef prepare food on the grill. He loved to play bass and guitar and was in several country music bands. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons John DeCubellis, Jr and his wife Meg, and Michael DeCubellis and his wife Sara, Dorreen Landers and William Landers; grandchildren Kyle DeCubellis and his wife Dorrie, Eliza DeCubellis, Michael DeCubellis, and Emma DeCubellis; great-granddaughter Ella Kayte DeCubellis. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Katie DeCubellis. He is also survived by his brothers Charles, James and Carl Smith and was predeceased by his sister Sandra. Services and burial will be private.
