William Halsey Brister

William Halsey Brister, 74, of Bayberry Ave, Wakefield, died Monday at South County Hospital. Born in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Edward Halsey and Thelma (Vought) Brister. Mr. Brister was an Artistic Director for several major department stores in NY including, Franklin Simon and Neiman Marcus. He was an author of several books and served in the US Army. Mr. Brister enjoyed gardening, model shipbuilding and needlepoint. He is survived by a niece, Melissa H. Petit; nephews, Wallace H. Henshaw III and G. Tyler Henshaw and several cousins. He was the brother of the late Joan Brister Henshaw. Services will be private.
