William W. Bell

Reverend William W. Bell, 86, formerly of Willard Ave, Wakefield, died on Friday December 4, 2009 at the South Kingstown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Henrietta “Penny” (Nason) Bell. Born in Wakefield, the son of the late William C. and Rose A. (Eccleston) Bell. He attended U.R.I. and received his Masters in Theology from Liberty University. A W.W. II Veteran, he served in Germany attached to the Black Hawk Division and the Philippines. Mr. Bell was employed at Wakefield Trust Co. before opening Bell’s Sporting Goods and Toys. He was president of William Bell Real Estate. After retiring, he owned Bell’s Cards and Comics. He was past president of the Rolling-Rodies Antique Car Club and an avid Antique Car Collector. He was the creator of the Narragansett Autorama. He is survived by three children, Dennis W. Bell, Richard C. Bell and Jean Waggoner all of Wakefield; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. His funeral service will be private.
