Wilfred T. Sonny Andrew

Wilfred T. “Sonny” Andrew, 86, of South Kingstown, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014. He was the husband of Carol (Lovejoy) Andrew and the former husband of Patricia (Gould) Walker. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Thomas and Bertha (Palmer) Andrew. Mr. Andrew worked as a machinist at Kenyon Mill for many years before retiring. He was a US Navy Veteran of W.W. II. Mr. Andrew was a loyal Baltimore Orioles and New England Patriots fan. He was a proud grandfather and great grandfather who spent many hours going to all their sports games and also enjoyed playing cribbage and pitch. He was the father, best friend and hero of Debra Siart and husband David, Cathleen Rogers and husband Mike, Patricia Simonelli and husband Bill, Blanche Davey and husband Chuck and the late Joann Andrew. He also leaves ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a great great grandson; brother of Claire Binns, Kenneth and Ronald Andrew and the late Winifred Jones, Theodore and Thomas Andrew. A celebration of life will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Kingstown Elks, 60 Belmont Ave, Wakefield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Welcome House, 8 North Rd., South Kingstown.
