Wendy Mackall, 80, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on Friday July 22rd. She was born on August 15th in Greenwich, CT to the late David and Ethel (Prosser) Baker. Wendy attended Greenwich Country Day Elementary School, the Ethel Walker School, and Vassar College. After college she worked as an editor for Look magazine in NYC before becoming a devoted and loving full time stay at home mom. She is remembered fondly by her students from her work as a substitute teacher in Narragansett, R.I. and Greenwich, Connecticut where she taught Italian and Art. Wendy enjoyed serving as a home health care worker with Home Instead. Wendy volunteered at GARC, an organization that provides support for adults with intellectual disabilities and the Domestic Violence Hotline. Wendy enjoyed traveling, reading, walking, and photography as well as gardening and flower arranging. Wendy’s family will remember her as a devoted mother and grandmother, as well as an active member of Christ Community Church in Providence, RI. She spent her life surrounded by family, enjoying summers by Narrow River. She is survived by her children; Bay Mackall, Charles M. Mackall III, and David B. Mackall (Ali), grandchildren; Austin, Lily and Gracin, and her sister Dorothy Robinson, as well as many cousins and beloved family members. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 6th at 4pm at 64 Thule Cove Rd, Narragansett, RI.
