Wayne D. Rockwell

Wayne D. Rockwell, 74, of South Kingstown, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at South County Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Donna L. (Holland) Rockwell for 54 years. Born September 11, 1950 and raised in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Basil Rockwell and Dorothy (Gagner) Rockwell.

Wayne worked in the textile Industry from the age of 15 until his retirement in 2023. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and riding his motorcycles and his beloved dogs Jeb, and Finn.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Elizabeth Rockwell, Stephanie Makuch (Matthew) and Basil Rockwell III (Lauren) four grandchildren, Stephen Makuch, Carter Rockwell, Basil Rockwell IV and Charlotte Rose Rockwell and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dennis, Bruce and Basil Rockwell.

A graveside service will be held for Wayne on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10 AM at the Riverside Cemetery, 169 High St., Wakefield.
