Wanda M. Hazard, 68 of North Kingstown passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Kent County Hospital, surrounded by her family. Wanda was born in Providence on November 19, 1952 to her late parents Jerry Walmsley and Olivia Perry Chase. Wanda was the loving wife of Robert Hazard Sr. of 55 years who were both stricken by the COVID-19 pandemic. Wanda is survived by her three sons, Robert Hazard Jr. (wife Shannon), Juan Hazard, Christopher Hazard, and her niece who she raised as her daughter, Latayna Walmsley. In addition to her children, Wanda is survived by 31 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: Jerry Walmsley, Douglas Walmsley, Robert Walmsley, Barry Walmsley, William Walmsley, Joseph Walmsley, Jerry Eugene Walmsley, Elizabeth Palmer, Brenda Walmsley, Mary Walmsley, Beverly Hazard and Yvonne Butler. She was predeceased by her sister, Christine Perry and brother, Dwight Walmsley. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Wanda will be truly missed. Visiting hours will be Friday, May 21, 2021 from 10am – 11am at Avery-Storti Funeral Home with a service immediately following at 11am. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery after funeral service.
