Vivian L. Knowles

Vivian L. (Whitney) Knowles, 76, of Wakefield, passed away on Sunday May 31, 2015 at South County Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert C. Knowles. Born in Bennington, Vermont, she was a daughter of the late Mason and Louisa (Short) Whitney. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Alice (Duffy), Donna (Marty), Lisa (Skip), Robert (Wendi) and Roberta; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; a sister Florence Dobson of Charlestown; and a brother Albert Whitney of Florida. Visiting hours are Thursday 10 - 11 am at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
