Virginia P. Murray

Virginia P. Murray, 83, of Narragansett, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015, at home. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Murray. Born in Carlisle, MA, a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Snyer) Russell. Mrs. Murray was a restaurant owner for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Adult Day Center of Westerly. She is survived by her children, Mary Byrd and her husband David of Narragansett, Virginia Cartwright of Rochester, NY, David Murray and his wife Kathleen of St. Simons Island, GA and Deborah Murray and her husband Peter Michaelsen of Long Beach, NY; eleven grandchildren, David Byrd, Jr. and his wife Alanna Sadoff, Jason Cartwright and his wife Jeanine, Tiffany and Stephen Cartwright, David and Sarah Murray, Kelly Michaelsen, Diane Pulvino and her husband Eric, Patricia Michaelsen, Scott and Brian Riester and five great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Patricia Riester and the sister of the late Charlotte Chellis. Her funeral and burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
