Virginia A. Garvey

Virginia A. Garvey, 86, formerly of Matunuck, died Wednesday. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Garvey. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late H. Raymond and Elizabeth H. (McWilliams) Fox. Mrs. Garvey was a reservation clerk for American Airlines. She is survived by one sister, Mary E. Rock of Matunuck; a sister in law Sister Margaret Garvey formerly of Central Falls and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jane Brady, Paul, Raymond and William Fox. The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 AM from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Romuald Chapel, 61 Atlantic Avenue, Matunuck. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Scallop Shell Activities Fund, 981 Kingstown Rd., Peace Dale, RI 02879 or St. Romuald Chapel.
