Virginia A. D'Antonio

Virginia A. D’Antonio, 92, of Narragansett died Saturday February 16, 2013 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late John D’Antonio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Josephine (Iacobbo) DiPippo. She is survived by three daughters, Jean Cotoia of Missouri, Kathryn O'Neil and her husband Michael of East Greenwich and Loriann D'Antonio of Warwick; three grandchildren; a sister Mary Iannuccilli of Providence. She was the sister of the late Ray DiPippo and Nancy Rico. Originally from Providence, she moved to Narragansett in 1990. Virginia touched many lives with her wisdom and courage. Those who knew her were impressed by her fierce sense of independence. She was famous for her holiday cookies. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday February 19th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Pt. Judith Rd., Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to In Sight.
