Vincent J. Cy Siravo

November 17, 1928 — June 5, 2014

Vincent J. Siravo, affectionately known as Cy, of Wakefield passed away peacefully Thursday, June 5, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at 85 years old. For 66 years he was the beloved husband of Shirley (Anderson) Siravo. He was the son of the late Vincent and Albina Siravo. From humble beginnings at Belmont Fruit, Cy’s hard work, courage, and most of all incredible real estate foresight enabled him to reshape the business landscape of the South County area. All who did business with him will remember him for his stand up character; a handshake with Cy was all that was needed to seal a deal. Cy loved the South County area and was committed to his community. Always a generous person, Cy happily shared his success with countless local charities and institutions. Cy’s greatest love was his time spent with his family and friends. Whether it was on the porch of Point Judith, the Dunes Club deck, or sharing one of his legendary homemade dinners, time with Cy was always filled with laughter and definitely a few great stories. All who were blessed to have known him will miss his charming and good-natured personality. In addition to his wife he leaves his children: Vincent “Jack” Siravo Jr; Debra and her husband Steven Manni; Lisa and her husband Terry Biafore; his grandchildren: Vincent “Jack” Siravo III; Dina Linda; Ava and Rocco Biafore; and his brother, Nicholas Siravo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett, Wednesday at 10:00 am. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VNS Home Health Services, 14 Woodruff Avenue, Narragansett, RI.
