Victor R. Allienello, 87, of Narragansett, formerly of East Providence, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. He was the husband of Charlotte A. (Kennedy) Allienello for 63 years. Born in East Providence, a son of the late Pasquale and Laura V. (Kopke) Allienello. Mr. Allienello was the president of East Providence Fuel Oil Co. for many years before retiring; was a Korean War Navy Veteran; a communicant of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church; past president of the Loggia Luce Moderna Lodge of the East Providence Sons of Italy; past state president for the Sons of Italy; a national trustee for the Order of the Sons of Italy; past president of the Rhode Island Oil Dealers Association; past president of the Metacomet Country Club; a member of the East Providence Knights of Columbus and a coach for East Providence Central Little League. The family would like to thank the staff and nursing staff of the South Kingstown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and professionalism. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Victor R. Allienello, Jr. and his wife Hilda of East Providence, Patricia A. Dougherty and her late husband Michael of Glastonbury, CT, Deborah A. Stringfellow and her husband Bill of East Providence, Patrick M. Allienello and his companion Sherry Smith of Narragansett and Michael Allienello of East Providence; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Catherine R. Botelho. His funeral will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 9:45 am from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at 11am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd., Narragansett. Burial with military honors will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Sunday, 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association of Rhode Island, 245 Waterman St., Providence, RI 02906.
