Veronica Vazquez

Veronica Vazquez, 52, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and loved ones on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry Vazquez and Dorcas (Reed) Laboi. Veronica was a teachers aide for the South Kingstown School Department. She was a phenomenal soft ball player and an avid Red Sox Fan. Any time she could she would help her community and was known as "Mom" to many. She loved being with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Susana Vazquez, Shane Vazquez, Sharena Sampson, Timothy Sampson, Alexa Strom, and Shayna Sabastian; grandchildren Lalindasol, Victoria, Adriana, Zaylin, Zaelah, Shane Carter, Octavious, and Tyrion; siblings Patricia Rivera, Diana Camera, Harry Vazquez, Jr., Maria Vazquez, Haddysol Vazquez, Lalinda Vazquez, and Sokie Vazquez. She was predeceased by her siblings Maria and David Vazquez. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 5-7pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, followed by a reception from 7-9pm in the South Kingstown Elks Lodge, 60 Belmont Ave, Wakefield.
