Thomas Reels, Sr.

Thomas Reels Sr., 79, of South Kingstown, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. He was the husband of Juanita (Sebastian) Reels. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Harry and Coriene (Thomas) Reels. Mr. Reels worked as a carpenter for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe and a direct descendent of King Tom Ninigret Royal Family of Niantic Indians. He was the father of Stewart Sebastian, Thomas Reels Jr., Corine Reels Northup, Kenneth M. Reels, Juanita Montey, Annette Stone, Wayne D. Reels, Kim Reels, Phyllis Reels Smith, Ronald Hay, Dawn McCoy, Donna Mims, Roxanne Reels Smith, Timothy Hay, Heather Reels and the late Scott Reels, Tina Reels, Bonnie Hay and Tyelee Reels; brother of Gordon Reels, Martin Reels and the late Harry Stewart Reels Jr., Norman Reels and Clifford Reels; grandfather of 75 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held Monday, September 25th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Wakefield.
