Thomas Dominick Morin, of Kingston RI, passed away on January, 9, 2021 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. Professor Morin was born August 30, 1938 in Hoboken, NJ. He was the son of the late Anthony and Ann Redjo Morin. He was a professor at the University of Rhode Island for over 45 years. He received his bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University and would later receive his master’s and doctorate degree at Columbia University. He loved to teach and lecture (both informally and academically), which he did in the USA, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Spain. He was an active family man who loved to ski with his grandchildren. He was filled with fervor to live life to the fullest and in the moment. He is survived by his devoted wife, Raquel Nagafugi Morin; his son, Thomas (Bethann) Morin, and their children, Olivia and Max, of Hanover, MA; his daughter, Mariquel (Charles) Kenyon, and their son, Peter, of West Kingston, RI; his son, Gabriel Nagafugi (Yuko) Morin, and their children, Antonio and Catrina, of Kingston, RI. His greatest joy was to be surrounded by his family.
