Thomas J. Millerick

Thomas J. Millerick, of Green Hill Beach, South Kingstown and formerly of Cranston, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen Mary (Flynn) Millerick for sixty-one years. Mr. Millerick was born on October 16, 1924 in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, a son of the late George and Margaret (Keough) Millerick. Mr. Millerick served his country with honor as a Yeoman First Class in the United States Navy during World War II. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal, the American Theatre Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Later, he was employed by Nationwide Insurance Company as a claims manager and regional claims manager for 35 years, retiring in 1991. He was the brother of the late Elizabeth Bryan. Mr. Millerick was the cherished father of Ann Marie Roccio and her husband William, Kathleen Millerick and William Walsh, Dr. Thomas J. Millerick, Jr. and his wife Linda, Mary Paula Millerick R.N., Esq. and her husband the late Seth R. Belson, Robert Millerick, Esq. and his wife the late Joanne Millerick, and Carolyn Saillant and her husband Patrick. He was the father of the late Paul Thomas Millerick. He also leaves ten adored grandchildren; Stephanie Sadler, Matthew Roccio, Christopher Marrero, Michael Roccio, Thomas B. Millerick, Lindsay Millerick, Robert A. Millerick, Lauren Millerick, Daniel Saillant and Andrew Saillant. Mr. Millerick was the great-grandfather of Owen Sadler, Matthew W. Roccio, Charlotte Marrero, Liam Roccio and Addison Marrero whom he treasured. The funeral, with military honors, will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 9:45 AM from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Road, Charlestown, RI 02813. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-8 PM.
