Thomas J. Lally, Sr.

Thomas J. Lally, Sr., 88, of Wakefield, died Friday. He was the husband of the late Anne (Kearns) Lally. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles and Julia (Smith) Lally. He was a graduate of Hope High School and Bryant College. Mr. Lally was employed for AT & T for many years, before retiring and is a US Navy Veteran of WW II. He enjoyed reading and playing golf and was a Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics Fan. He is survived by five children, Gail Doyle of Warwick, Thomas Lally, Jr. of Uxbridge, MA, Ed Ryan of Orem, UT, Peg Ryan of Wakefield, Maureen Curran of Fayettville, NY, and 16 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday 2-5 PM.
