Theresa M. Valade

Theresa M. Valade, 88, of Narragansett and formerly Bradenton, FL, passed away Friday at South County Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Roger N. Valade. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Exerina (Laforest) Dufour. Mrs. Valade worked as a secretary and teacher’s aid in the Pawtucket School Department for many years. She was a former member of St. John The Baptist Church in Pawtucket. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from St. John The Baptist High School. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing and spending time with her family. She was the loving mother of Elaine Partridge of Wakefield, Gary Valade of Pomfret Center, CT, Norman Valade of Pawtucket and Cathy Valade of Narragansett; grandmother of Jason Valade, Erica Honesty, Anthony Partridge, David Valade, Selina Valade, Justin McCoy, Sean Tanner and Alex Tanner; great grandmother of Noah, Emily, Gavin, Kiana and Sky. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation Thursday December 27th, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be in The Palms Memorial Park, Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a cause or charity of your choice.
