Theresa L. Mccusker

Theresa L. McCusker, 84, of Charlestown, and formerly of New Britain, CT, died Sunday, March 24th, at the Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The McCusker family would like to thank all of the staff for their compassion and care of their mother. She was the beloved wife of the late James. P. McCusker, Sr. Born in New Britain, CT, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Edna (Verrier) LaFlamme. Mrs. McCusker was an avid reader, and excellent gardener and enjoyed needlepoint and knitting. She will be remembered as a great mother and as a final tribute her children will serve as pallbearers at her funeral. She is survived by six children, Patty Bernier of Bristol, CT, Theresa Maserati of Hampden, MA, Robert McCusker of South Kingstown, RI, Karen Kucharczyk of Plantsville, CT, Marie Moore of Charlestown, RI, and William McCusker of Charlestown, RI; nineteen grandchildren, three step grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and a brother Roger LaFlamme of Plantsville, CT. She was the mother of the late James P. McCusker, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 2nd at 10 AM in St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Road, Charlestown. Visiting hours will be Monday, April 1st at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Scallop Shell Residents' Activities Fund, 981 Kingstown Road, Peace Dale, RI 02879.
