Theresa A. McCormick, 71, of Wakefield, died peacefully Monday, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James McCormick for 50 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Carmella (Gioielli) Susi. Terry was employed by the North Kingstown School Department for 23 years. She was the devoted mother of David J. McCormick and his wife Jacqueline of Wakefield and Laurieann McCormick and her companion Steven Wood of Warwick; she was the loving Grandma of Dylan Patrick McCormick and Sara Elizabeth McCormick, whom she adored; two sisters, Sonya Perry and her husband Jack of Portsmouth and Paula Sylvia and her husband Ed of Cranston; and a sister-in-law, Valerie Susi of Warwick; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gaetano “Guy” Susi. The funeral will be 9 am Thursday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 pm.
