Theresa M. Casey

Theresa M. Casey (McLaughlin), 84, of Matunuck, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Casey, Jr. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Henry and Serena (Almon) McLaughlin. Mrs. Casey was a medical records clerk for South County Hospital for many years before retiring. She was a member of the St. Francis Woman’s Club, a longtime communicant of St. Romuald Chapel, a member of the Matunuck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Matunuck Community Association and enjoyed card playing at Tara’s. She is survived by her children, Colleen M. Casey of Wakefield, Kevin E. Casey and his wife Roberta of Cranston, Dennis P. Casey and his wife Elizabeth of Berlin, MD and Patricia M. Hay of Perryville; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Amy, Nicholas, Vincent, Matthew and Thomas Casey and Alex LeFebvre and two sisters, Agatha Carey of Providence and Elizabeth Mari of Cranston. She was the mother of the late Maureen T. Casey and the sister of the late Mary Keune, Anna Woulfe, Jane Loughran, Serena Conley, Henry, Joseph, Edward and James McLaughlin. Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016, at 8:45 am from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am in St. Romuald Chapel, Atlantic Ave, Matunuck. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Francis Church, 114 High St., Wakefield, RI 02879.
