Theodore S. Ted Thomas

Theodore S. “Ted” Thomas, 85, of Charlestown, RI, formerly of Dover, MA, died Friday at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Anne J. (Hagan) Thomas. Born in Needham, Massachusetts, he was one of nine children of the late Roby S. and Sarah L. (Holt) Thomas. Mr. Thomas was employed for the Sears & Roebuck Company in Boston, MA, retiring in 1988. A US Navy veteran of World War II, he served on the USS Lexington CV 16. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Theodore S. “Ted” Thomas, Jr., of Charlestown, RI, Donna Harrison of Bellingham, MA, Patricia Thomas-Danos of Groton, MA, and Susan Baranick of Freetown, MA; eleven grandchildren; and a brother Richard Thomas of Centerville, MA. He was the father of the late Sandra Thomas. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM Friday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
