Theodore F. Masse, 89, a resident of Charlestown, RI, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Shader) Masse, to whom he had been married for 66 years. Born in Charlestown, he was the son of the late Theophile and Mary E. (Riley) Masse. He was a WWII Army Veteran having served in Europe as a member of the 87th Infantry Division and was a prisoner of war in Germany for five months. He graduated from Rhode Island State College (URI) in 1950 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and received a Master of Business Administration from Bryant College in 1975. His career as an engineer included employment by The Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, the Fram Corporation and the BIF Unit of General Signal Corporation. He leaves one son, Kevin P. Masse and his wife Anne of Narragansett; two daughters, Suzanne Ferrio and her husband Tom of Charlestown and Laurie J. McDonough of Cumberland; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Annetta DeArmond. He was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to all who were fortunate to share his life. He will be missed. His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 12 noon in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI. Burial with military honors will follow in White Brook Cemetery, Richmond. Visiting hours Friday 10 am-12 noon.
