Thelma E. Vallee, affectionately known as "Betty", 90, formerly of Wakefield, passed away Wednesday, November 14th. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Vallee, Jr. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Hazel (Wheeler) Caswell. She is survived by her son, Edward A. Vallee, III and his wife Paula of Richmond; her grandson Joshua Vallee and his wife Kaila of Wakefield; her great grandchild, Bennett; and her sister Phyllis (Caswell) Goodness of Charlestown. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Vallee, her granddaughter Diana Clavin-Vallee, her brother Milton Caswell, and her half-brother Roy Quigley. She loved arts and crafts and was an avid fan of the local band, Steve Smith and The Nakeds, for which her son Edward played guitar. Until recently, she attended many shows over the years at nearby venues. She was known to the band as "Betty Boop". Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday 3-5 pm. A committal service will be held at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, 1 pm Monday.
