Thelma Prefontaine

Thelma Prefontaine, 92, of West Kingston, passed away at home on Sunday. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard Prefontaine. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Maine) White. Mrs. Prefontaine was a licensed hairdresser in the Wakefield area for over 70 years. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and will be remembered for being a good listener and an outstanding mother and grandmother.. She is survived by two sons, David Prefontaine and his wife Mary Beth of East Greenwich and Barry Prefontiane and his wife Deborah of West Kingston; a daughter Barbara-Lynn Knipe and her husband William of Exeter; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edward White, Raymond White and Dorothy McElroy. Funeral services will be private.
