Teresa “Terry” A. (Gilbert) Timpson, 68, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. She was the beloved wife of Edward Timpson, they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. In that period of love and friendship, Terry was also co-owner and partner with her husband of Timpson Excavating and Herb’s Earth Farm, both in South Kingstown. Terry was the loving daughter of the late Norman B. and Florence “Flossie” G. (Burgess) Gilbert. She was a graduate of South Kingstown High School in 1959. She was a volunteer in the Narragansett School System and active in the Narragansett Cub Scout Program. Terry could often be seen at various sporting events of which her family participated. She was an active participant in various fund raising missions. Besides her husband she is survived by four sons Edward “Ted” G. of Windsor, NH, his wife Susan, John D., his wife Janet and Brian R., his wife Dawn of Narragansett and David S. Ferrare of Warwick; her sister Michele J. (Gilbert) Callan, her husband Tom and their two daughters of West Kingston. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren. Terry is pre-deceased by her loving daughter-in-law, Linda (Smith) Timpson. She leaves behind many friends who remember her for her kind and generous spirit, her faith and character, her strength, courage, talents and humor. We are all better for having walked with her through her life. A celebration of her life and service will be held at Avery Storti Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Peace Dale. Calling hours will be Sunday 5pm to 8pm.
