Teresa Jessel

Teresa Jessel, 59, of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11th 2023. She was the beloved daughter of the late John Joseph Jessel and Violet (Patnaude) Jessel.

Teresa was a proud Special Olympian winning medals for basketball, bowling and swimming. She enjoyed movies, musicals, singing, dancing, celebrating the holidays, and creating arts and crafts.

In addition to her mother Violet, Teresa is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Dorothy and Robert Margolskee, Martin and Barbara Jessel, Paul and Nancy Jessel, Annette and Mark Greenwood, and David and Susan Jessel. Her nieces and nephews include Daniel, Alison and Andrew Margolskee, Melissa and Melanie Jessel, Kevin and Kristine Jessel, Ryan and Michael Jessel and Em Greenwood. Teresa also leaves two great nieces and three great nephews.

She made numerous friends through her group home setting as well as the various special needs programs where she worked and participated in life skills programs and recreational activities throughout her life in Massachusetts as well as Rhode Island.

A private memorial service is planned for this spring in her hometown of Haverhill, Massachusetts.
