Sylvia L. (Piedoux) Carey, 92, of Wakefield, entered into her eternal sunset on Thursday, January 4, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew D. Carey. Her sunrise was in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Evelyn (Metz) Piedoux-Vivequin.
Sylvia was a chef for the South Kingstown Junior High School for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed lunch on Wednesdays at the South Kingstown Senior Center, music and dancing.
She is survived by her children, Michael T. Carey and his wife Kim, David E. Carey and his wife Debra, John W. Carey and his wife Diane all of Wakefield and Theresa J. Corr and her husband David of Centerville, OH; grandchildren, Brian, Eli, Lauren, Charleve, Aaron, Kevin, Hayden and Benjamin and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Walter and Selah. She was the sister of the late Marcel Piedoux and Laurant Rabian and companion of the late Frank Figueredo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 10:30 am in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter, the procession will gather at the entrance. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
