Lindgren, Suzanne Claire (Pellitier) of Saunderstown, formally of West Warwick, passed away on August 13,2026. She was predeceased by her late husband, Allen G. Lindgren, to whom she was married 24 years and was also predeceased by her first husband, Robert R Boisvert of Guilford, Maine to whom she was married for 36 years and had three daughters. She is also predeceased by her youngest daughter, Michelle Marie Boisvert of Wakefield, Rhode Island. Suzanne was the daughter of the late Louis Philip and Clara May (Barry)Pelletier. She was a graduate of West Warwick high school class of 1956. Suzanne was employed as an elementary school teacher for the West Warwick school system for 24 years, retiring in 1999 she taught at Horgan, Miriam Duffy and Greenbush schools. She received an undergraduate degree from URI 1973, and earned a masters in elementary education from URI and Rhode Island College.
Before and especially after retirement, Allen and Suzanne traveled extensively in Europe living in Zurich because of Allen's association with ETH (Technical Institute of Zurich)they also spent many winter months in San Diego California, spending time with their San Diego family. Their travels delighted them with many new special friendships. Suzanne had many interests and was a longtime member of the Warwick Civil Corral and Jamestown chorus. She also loved dancing, reading and clarinet, also gardening, cooking and entertaining friends at home. She was a long time Eucharistic minister and funeral choir member at Christ the King Catholic Church of Kingston, RI. She is survived by her children, Deborah Essex and her husband William Essex of South Kingston, Kathryn Lindgren and her husband Larry of Yarmouth, Maine, her stepchildren, Christine Lindgren and partner Chris Adams, Jeanne Lindgren and husband David, Kathleen Kearney and late husband David, Elizabeth Lindgren, the late Chip A. (Allen) Lindgren and his wife Valerie Lindgren, Margaret and husband Phil Newberry, her grandchildren Nigel Lindgren and his wife Jessica, Noel Lindgren and his wife Bailey, Emma Essex, Katie Smith, Faith and Samuel Lindgren . She also had five great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Easton Smith, Magnus, Francie, and Henrik Lindgren.
A special thank you to Brightview Commons Senior Living in Wakefield, Rhode Island and Roberts Healthcare Centre in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Visiting hours will be at Avery Storti Funeral Home.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 10 AM in Christ the King Church Kingstown, Rhode Island 180 Old North Rd. Kingston. Burial will follow at Saint Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM in the Avery-Storto Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
