Steven Rob Maguire

Steven R. Maguire, 62, of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. He was the husband of Janice (Surber) Maguire for 41 years. Born in Columbia, SC, a son of the late Dan Maguire and Nancy (Gemmer) Dolan. Mr. Maguire was a chef at Christie’s of Newport Restaurant for many years before retiring and after retirement he was a recruiter and store manager for Olympia Sports for 15 years. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Madison; enjoyed birding; cooking and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Matthew Maguire and his wife Andrea of Burbank, CA and Kevin Maguire and his wife Sarah of Westerly; his granddaughter, Madison and his step mother, Marcia Maguire of St. Simons, GA. He was the brother of the late Michael Maguire. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017, 1-3 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Funeral services and burial will be private.
