Stephen Alan Sherman

Stephen A. Sherman, 71, of Wakefield passed away Monday at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Vivian L. (Houle) Dolan-Sherman, they had been married for 41 Years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Lawrence and Thelma B. (Brown) Sherman. Mr. Sherman was the proprietor of the Jamestown Hardware Co. for 22 years. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Michael V. Sherman and his wife Dorothy of Bristol, Kelly Casey and her husband Richard of Wakefield, Stephen M. Dolan and his wife Laura of Stow, Ohio and Stephen S. Sherman and his wife Carol of North Kingstown; a sister, Carolyn Harper of East Wenachee, WA and 7 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Mickey Sherman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers contributions to the South Kingstown Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880, would be appreciated.
