Stanley S. Williams, 89, of Wakefield, passed away Sunday April 2nd. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Dimon) Williams for 17 years, and the late Sallie (Joyce) Williams. Born in Boston, he was a son of the late Seymour and Wenna (Sears) Williams. Mr. Williams was an accountant who assisted university and colleges with federal grants including, Tufts University, Merrimack College, the University of Rhode Island and SUNY at Albany. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed investing in the stock market and will be remembered as stock market enthusiast. Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Mark S. Williams and his wife Patricia of Narragansett, Kim Joyce Johnson and her husband Jim McClarnon of West Kingston; six step-children, Valerie Carroll and her husband Ray of Hope Valley, Doug Drake and his wife Barbara Drake of West Kingston, Lori Harris and her husband Andy of Massachusetts, Pam Drake of Carolina, Robin Drake of Pennsylvania, and Scott Drake and Tia Baton of Charlestown; five grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Tyler Williams, Sarah Johnson, Emily Johnson, and Emily McClarnon; eight step-grandchildren including Jenna Drake; and two sisters, Eileen Langelo of Massachusetts and Louise Anderson of Florida. He was the brother of the late George Williams and Willard Williams. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday April 8th in the Curtis Corner Baptist Church. Burial with military honors will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
