Shirley M. Stimpson, of Wakefield, died Sunday. She was the wife of the late Howard D. Hawkins. Born in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Ronald V. and Natalie (Dansereau) Stimpson. Mrs. Stimpson was a seamstress and she taught sewing for the Singer company. Following the death of her husband, she worked as a CNA in the New London, CT area. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and for many years she was a full time bible teacher. She is survived by two children, Bruce Hawkins and Debbie Dykstra, both of Wakefield; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. A service will be held at 4 pm Sunday, April 26th in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1079 Tuckertown Road, Wakefield. Burial will be private.
