Shirley Theresa Sherman

Shirley Theresa Sherman, 89, of Westerly, passed away on March 31, 2017. She was the wife of the late Maurice Sherman. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (McKenna) Hagelstein. Shirley will always be remembered for her devotion to her special needs son Glenn and was a great mother. She was a fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. She is survived by her children Bradford Sherman of Charlestown, Glenn Sherman of Westerly, and Susan Klein of Boise, Idaho. She was the sister to the late Daniel and Joseph Hagelstein. Visiting hours will be held on Friday April 7, from 5-7 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home with a burial to follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston, RI.
