Shirley Mildred Palmer

Shirley Mildred Palmer, died peacefully at the age of 89 in Westerly, RI. Born in Narragansett RI, Shirley lived in Wakefield for many years while raising five children. She then spent several joyous years in St Louis, MO and Flagler Beach, FL with adored husband Roy E. Palmer, Petty Officer First Class, US Navy Retired (deceased). Recently of Westerly RI, Mrs. Palmer is survived by her five children Ted A. Bicknell, Linda S. Schave, Beth M. Gillam, William E. Bicknell, and Scott B. Bicknell, Chief Petty Officer, US Navy Retired. As a Grandmother, Mima is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. As Aunt Shirley, she is survived by six daughters of her late sister Mary Sheryl Tucker, Joyce Casale, Mary Jane Spence, Deborah Miller, Lynne OFlaherty, and Cathy Harvey. As well as, twelve great-nieces and three great-nephews. She will be always deeply loved, always lovingly remembered and always monumentally missed. Rest in Peace Shirl. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI, 02879.
