Shirley A. Anderson

Shirley Ann (Nichols) Anderson, 89, of Wakefield, RI, passed away at home on March 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in South Kingstown, she was the beloved wife of her childhood sweetheart Robert C. “Bob” Anderson for 70 years.

A cherished mother and grandmother, Shirley also leaves her daughter Gayle; her daughter Laurie and son in law David; and her granddaughter Lulu.

A respected community member, antiques dealer, nature enthusiast, and proud "Swamper," Shirley's adventurous spirit and generous heart touched all who knew her.

The family plans a small private service, and in lieu of flowers requests donations to the RI Wild Plant Society or to the Peace Dale Congregational Church.
