Sherry S. Shovlin, 59, of Narragansett, died Monday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Mark Shovlin for 34 years. Born in Spotswood, NJ, she was a daughter of Edna (Durbeck) Crowther of Sarasota, FL and the late Walter Crowther. Mrs. Shovlin was a medical assistant at the South County Medical Building and was the Customer Service Director for her husband’s company, Pascack Builders, Inc. Her true joy and passion was caring for the elderly and she will be remembered for putting everyone else's needs before her own. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three children, Lindsay DePalma of Arlington, VA, Kyle Shovlin of Boston, MA and Brett Shovlin of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, Dr. Duane Crowther of Hopewell Junction, NY; two sisters, Bonnie Salecker of Charlottesville, VA and Wendy Wetter of Florida, NY. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday 4-8 PM. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia Street, Peace Dale. A private burial service will take place at a later date and time.
