Shawn P. Robinson, (Super Duty) 50 of Wakefield passed away peacefully among family and friends on Thursday, October 26th a day after his 50th birthday. He was born in South County Hospital to Dan J. Robinson and Sue Ann (Gilbert) Robinson-Burgess.
Shawn loved Classic Cars with small/big block engines with power so he could burn tire. He was the king of burning rubber. Shawn loved NHRA and the John Force Team. He was a past member of the Southern New England Truck Pullers Association. A Member of the Middlesex County Tractor Pullers Association. He traveled to the Keystone Nationals in Harrisburg, PA pulling in Ohio, Springfield, Columbus, Washington County Fair in RI and NY, and the Maine State Truck Pullers Association at the Fryeburg Fair. He was a member of the Rhode Island Public Works Association for 15 years.
His hobbies were motorcycle riding with friends, snowmobiling in New Hampshire, boating and jet skiing on Salt Pond with friends. 18 Wheelers was a fascination with him, especially Peterbilts. As a young boy he enjoyed Motorcross as well. He helped with firework setups and was their for anyone that called him for help always putting himself last. He had excellent mechanical skills, there wasn't anything he couldn't fix.
Besides his mother he is survived by a brother, Christopher J Robinson of Alvin, TX, Girlfriend, Melanie Manfredi of Manfredi Farms, and Aunt, Frances M. DeSantis of Alvin, TX, Godmother, Denise D Amico and Peter D Amico, many cousins, nieces, and step children. He was pre-deceased by his Father, Dan J Robinson, Grandparents Frank L. & Brudencia Robinson, and Stuart & Henrietta Gilbert.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 8th from 4:00 -7:00 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 9th at 10:00 am in St. Francis Church on 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, George Schaefer Street, Wakefield.
