Sharon J. Chamberlain

Sharon J. Chamberlain, 65, of Charlestown, died Wednesday. She was the beloved wife of Allan Chamberlain. Born in Caribou, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Kendall and Josephine (Monteith) Drake. Mrs. Chamberlain was a hairdresser for many years, working at Colonial Beauty Shop and Lords & Ladies Beauty Salon, both in Westerly. More recently she had been working at Guys & Dolls Salon during the spring and summer months. She enjoyed riding with her husband on his Harley Davidson, snow skiing, golfing and playing tennis. She will be remembered as taking great pride in her work and having a passion for hairdressing. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her hairdressing soul mate, Terrie Spezzano. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Don Wheeler of Charlestown; and two nieces, Lisa Northup and her family and Patti Lilly and her family.. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
