Scot Whitney

Scot A. Whitney, 57, passed away July 24, 2023, at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Regina Whitney. They shared 23 years together.

Born in Wakefield, RI, he was the son of the late Arthur L. Whitney and Evelyn Carey. He enjoyed working in the garden and on cars. He was a fan or Nascar racing. Scot worked as a commercial fisherman for 25 years and at Shelter Harbor Golf Club for 12 years as an airgation tech.

Scot is survived by his wife, Regina Whitney; Son, Scot A. Whitney Jr, and his fiance Alicia Lavimodiere. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Braydon Whitney, Issabella Whitney, Raymond Whitney, and Rylan Lavimodiere; Sister, Cheryl Boyer and many neices and nephews.

He is predeasesed by his son Carl J. Whitney (Flip); Brother’s Arther L. Whitney Jr. (Porky) and Fredrick M. Whitney (Fred); Sister, Debra Cordeiro; and Nephew Arhtur L. Whitney III (Bud).

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 5 PM-8 PM in Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI, 02879. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10 AM at Usquepaug (Friend) Cemetery.
