Sarah Farnsworth Blackett

Sarah (Sally) Ann Farnsworth Blackett, 75, was the daughter of the late 'Aunts', Marion Blanchard Farnsworth Boynton and Helen Stanley Johnson of Weston, MA. She was a graduate of Concord Academy and was a longtime resident of Newport, RI. Sally was a supporter of the Vieques Humane Society and was on the board of directors of The New School (now the Pennfield School). She was a member of Swanhurst Chorus, The Newport Art Museum, The Rose Island Lighthouse Foundation, The Preservation Society, The Photographers Guild, and The Aquidneck Island Land Trust. She volunteered for Save The Bay and served on the Newport County Arts Council. She worked as a self-employed photographer. Sally is survived by her son, Benjamin B. Blackett of North Kingstown, RI, her daughter Martha F. Blackett of West Kingston, RI, her step daughter Barbara B. Bloomberg, and her step daughter Ann Clark. There will be a private celebration of her life in the coming year. In lieu of flowers, any donation in her memory to Concord Academy, 166 Main Street, Concord, MA 01742 would be humbly welcomed.
