Sandra L. Roberts

Sandra L. (Carpenter) Roberts, 75, of Narragansett passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of John L. Roberts for fifty four years. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Phoebe E. (Pitcher) Carpenter. Sandra was a church secretary at First Baptist of Narragansett for many years before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, camping and cooking. She was the mother of John Roberts Jr. of Bradford, Kerri Alling of Richmond and Michael Roberts of Narragansett; sister of Janet Vanderlaan and husband Arthur of Perryville and Marion Gledhill and husband Robert of Decatur, IN; grandmother of Jake, Evan and Seth Roberts. Funeral service will be held Friday 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Narragansett, 305 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett. Burial will be in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Missions Trust Fund at First Baptist Church of Narragansett.
