Sandra L. Ford

Sandra L. Ford, 78, of South Kingstown, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016. She was the wife of the late Frederick Ford. Born in South Kingstown she was the daughter of the late Frank and E. Carolyn (Nelson) Barnett. Sandra worked in the Finance department for the Town of South Kingstown before retiring. She was the mother of Frederick Ford Jr. of Beaufort, NC, Leslie A. Ford of Wakefield, RI, Carolyn Ford-Gross of Wakefield, RI, Sandi L. Ford of El Cerrito, CA. She also leaves five grandsons, five great grandchildren; was grandmother of the late Frederick Ford III; sister of the late Judith A. Babcock and F. Joseph Barnett. Sandra started sewing and knitting at the age of four. She was a master craftswoman from quilting, basket weaving, to woodworking. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Arbutus Garden Club. For those who knew her, she is most remembered for her kind, sweet, good natured spirit. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
